Making a difference

Nurturing First Nations excellence within the creative industries

Developing quality artists with big impact

Adam Briggs Foundation, named after our chair the renowned artist Adam Briggs, is a First Nations-lead charity organisation that plays a vital role in filling the gap of representation and skills-based development in the creative industries, for First Nations people. By providing structures for artists and arts workers to access programs, workshops, mentors, role models, and professional experiences, Adam Briggs Foundation creates sustainable excellence for and with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities within the arts across the country.

Artist support and Development

We will nurture and support First Nations excellence within the creative industries creating spaces, strong partnerships and developing support programs for emerging and established artists.

Creative Industry Pathways

We provide structures for artists to access programs that contribute to developing their skills and experience, support in practice based workshops and access to mentors and First Nations role models across music and visual arts.

Community Development & Research

Programs are nationally focussed, and reflective of community needs to develop skills with industry professionals and in a culturally strong and safe environment.

Special Projects

We will partner with various music and arts focused organisations to deliver diverse programs and create grant opportunities for our community.
